Benchmark scores aren't everything, but they can tell us how well a device could perform. And when it comes to the Snapdragon 888 chipset, things are looking promising. Qualcomm has just shared a comprehensive list of benchmark scores, showcasing the prowess of the new chipset.

In the official post, Qualcomm confirmed that used a range of different benchmark programs. This includes synthetic and graphics benchmarks, as well as those that test the chipset's AI, gaming, and photography capabilities. For example, the Snapdragon 888 chipset scored 735439 in AnTuTu, which is an improvement of around 14% over the Snapdragon 865+ chipset.

Besides that, the chipset is expected to deliver up to 35% faster graphics rendering and up to 73% increase in AI-inferencing performance. There's no gauge on how this chipset improves photography, but you can check out the other benchmark tests performed in the image above. Suffice to say, the improvement is quite significant.

We're expecting next year's flagship smartphones to be more expensive, so brace for that if you plan to upgrade. But having said that, would you be looking to upgrade, or go for a device featuring older hardware to save cost? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates like this.
