Earlier, we wrote about the new ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G15, so now it's the 2024 ROG Strix's turn. The ROG Strix family has also been revamped, with both the Strix SCAR 16 and Strix SCAR 18 now offering Nebula HDR panels featuring Mini LED backlights, marking the first time a Nebula HDR display has been available in an 18-inch form factor.
That's right, this year marks the introduction of the first 18-inch ROG Nebula HDR Display. As mentioned, the 2024 Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 now have upgraded Mini LED panels with over 2000 dimming zones and 1100 nits peak brightness. Each model offers a 2.5K 240 Hz refresh rate panel with a less than 3 ms grey-to-grey response time, a 16:10 aspect ratio and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space.
Regarding tech specs, all the new Strix SCAR laptops are equipped with Intel Core i9 14900HX processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU (Max TGP 175W). The memory capacity can go up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB + 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD with Raid 0 storage. The rest of the features can be seen in the image summary above.
According to ROG Malaysia, the new 2024 ROG laptop series will be launched in Malaysia quite soon. The date is scheduled for the 19th of January 2024. Stay tuned for more official news for the local price and availability.
