Besides the ROG Phone 8 series, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced its 2024 laptop lineup, including a completely redesigned Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16. Not only that, the ROG Strix family has also been revamped, with both the SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 (click here to check them out) but let's talk about the new Zephyrus lineup.
With a new design sporting an all-new Slash Lighting array across the lid, the Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16 are now thinner and lighter than ever. Available in either Eclipse Gray or Platinum White, the Zephyrus G14 weighs in at just 1.5 kg and 1.59 cm thick, and the Zephyrus G16 weighs 1.85 kg at 1.49 cm thick, Both models are shipped with three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Both Zephyrus G14 and G16 are also the first ROG laptops to feature a Nebula Display with an OLED panel. G-SYNC OLED displays are available too and have a pixel emission rate of 960 Hz. In terms of specs, the Zephyrus G14 is equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen 8000 Series processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. To keep the machine cool, there's a Thermal Grizzly liquid metal on the CPU, a tri-fan cooling solution, and 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans.
Select models of the Zephyrus G16 feature an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 185H and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU. It also sports a custom vapour chamber and dual-fan design. Besides that, both the Zephyrus G14 and G16 are quite similar in other areas. Just that the latter is more high-performance, as the name suggests.
According to ROG Malaysia, the new 2024 ROG laptop series will be launched in Malaysia quite soon. The date is scheduled for the 19th of January 2024. Stay tuned for more official news for the local price and availability.
