Rapid KL says users can still renew their My50 passes during the system upgrading period

It was only recently that Prasarana announced Malaysians won't be able to renew their My50 pass from 23 December to 31 January 2025. However, Rapid KL quickly made another announcement that users can still renew their passes during the system upgrading period.

In a new FAQ image posted on its Twitter X account, users will be able to renew their passes under one condition - which is to first utilise the remaining days on their My50 pass. This clearly corrected the statement made by Prasarana before, saying it was not possible to renew at all.

Additionally, users can also renew their My50 passes after the expiry date during the system upgrading period. New My50 passes can still be purchased at any Rapid KL counters and also, no price changes will be made after the system upgrade.
