For many of us, mobile games are no longer simple ones like Flappy Bird or Bejeweled. While some of the fancy ones like Genshin Impact have PC or console versions, some people love having a handheld gaming device. This is where the Razer Edge intends to fit in.

Yesterday, the company unveiled the Wi-Fi and Founder's edition of the Razer Edge. Both were slated for release in Jan 2023 for USD400 (~RM1881) and USD500 (~RM2351), respectively. Interestingly, the whole setup is like a smartphone with a detachable controller. It was even confirmed that the package will include a Razer Kishi V2 Pro (.

As for hardware, it was already revealed that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 chipset. The unveiling also confirmed that the Razer Edge packs a 6.8-inch FHD+ (2400x1080) AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2-way speakers, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 5000mAh battery. In terms of features, it supports THX Spatial Audio, Wi-Fi 6E, Android gaming, and streaming games from PC or Xbox.

Currently, Razer hasn't announced plans to launch this outside of the USA. But there are many mobile gamers in SEA, so we should get some news in the coming weeks. The question would then be, "Is this something you'd buy?" Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for future updates.
