Razer Kishi mobile gaming controllers announced for early 2020 release

For some reason, it seems that some companies are taking note of the Nintendo Switch. First, Dell's Alienware Concept UFO appeared at the CES 2020 and now Razer has announced their own version (kind of) - the new Razer Kishi mobile gaming controllers, alongside the Razer Sila 5G Home Router, the Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop, and a new Razer Eracing Simulator concept.

The Razer Kishi mobile gaming controllers are designed for mobile gaming and will be compatible with Android and Apple smartphones. Razer claimed that the controllers can support low-latency gameplay and the design kind of mimics the Nintendo Switch controllers with clickable analog controls on each side. The controllers can be charged while gaming which is delivered through a hidden USB-C or Apple Lightning port (sorry, no microUSB), it should also be noted that Kishi offers support for most Android or iOS games that are compatible with mobile controllers, including both native titles and cloud services.

Next, the Razer Sila 5G Home Router and tailored for gamers to take advantage of ultra low-latency during mobile gaming. As a compact device, it has a built-in rechargeable battery and function as a mobile 5G hotspot for impromptu, latency-free tournaments anywhere. Designed to optimize cloud gaming services, this also means it works for gamers with a PC, PlayStation or Xbox.

Of course, Razer also introduced a new Tomahawk Gaming desktop. It features an Intel Core-i9 processor, 64GB of DDR4 RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics and an Intel NUC 9 Extreme Compute Element that is capable of achieving high clock speeds and framerates. Interestingly, Razer will also release the Tomahawk N1 case as a standalone product.

Razer Eracing Simulator concept

That's not the last of it, Razer got really ambitious by showcasing an Eracing Simulator concept. To offer the best immersive racing experience, the concept model features technology from Vesaro, Simpit, Fanatec and Synthesis VR, this includes a 202-degree projection system, a hydraulic racing platform, full manual controls, and a steering wheel with paddle shift.

For the release date, the Razer Kishi mobile controllers (for Android or Apple) will be available in early 2020, whereas the Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop will be available in the first half of 2020.
