The Realme brand has been making a good wave in Malaysia lately, such as emerging as the top-selling smartphone on Shopee during 11.11 and the Men's Festival for the Realme 2 Pro. Meanwhile in India, the brand has just released another new device called the Realme U1 and it's the first to adopt a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset.
As part of the newest mid-range processors to be released, the chipset's architecture consists of four Cortex-A73 cores and another four Cortex-A53 cores, with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Currently, it has two memory variants of 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB capacity (expandable memory is available). One particular highlight about it is that according to news sources, it's able to keep games (depending on which one) afloat at 60fps most of the time, as well as rendering bokeh effects, HDR and multi-frame noise reduction in real-time.

Moreover, coming with Color OS 5.2 out of the box, the exterior design sports a 6.3-inches IPS LCD display with 1080p along with a teardrop notch where the 25MP front camera stays. Display material is quite tough too as it's made out of 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 with a special coating on the acrylic material to look like it's glass (tapi bukan). Then on the back, the 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup is sitting there comfortably.
Lastly, the battery pack is impressive standing at 3500mAh, supporting just 10W charging on its microUSB port. The 3.5mm headphone jack is here to stay and for the price tag, the starting price is 11,999 Rupee (~RM716, 3GB + 32GB) while the other model is 14,999 Rupee (~RM895, 4GB + 64GB).
We think there's a good chance that the Realme U1 will fly into Malaysia so until then, stay tuned for more Realme news at TechNave.com.
