Redmi had launched its affordable gaming laptop Redmi G last year with a big 16.1-inch display. This year, the company will continue to add a new model to the line by presenting the Redmi G 2021 on 22 September. Before that happens, the first feature of the upcoming gaming laptop has gotten revealed, and it's ray tracing.

The successor is expected to use an Nvidia RTX 3050, RTX 3060 or even an RTX 3070 for the graphics. All the mentioned cards support ray tracing as what the name 'RT' means. Ray tracing has also proven very tasking on video cards at 4K with the 3050 or 3060 cards, so we should expect 1080p gaming from the Redmi G 2021.

Besides that, the Redmi G 2021 is rumoured to come in two versions, with one being Intel and another one Ryzen. It will also keep its 16.1-inch display and is capable of 100% of the sRGB spectrum with support for 144Hz. There are also up to 64GB memory and 512GB SSD expansions for the upcoming laptop.
