You may or may not have noticed, but Xiaomi sometimes launches the variants for its Redmi devices separately. For instance, the company could launch a standard and pro model first, before a Lite or Gaming variant appears a few weeks or months later. But could that change with the Redmi K50 series?

According to Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K50 'universe' has been certified and hinted that it could be coming soon. In another post, he also mentioned that the Redmi K50 Gaming is on the way. It's unknown if he's referring to the same device, but it was previously rumoured that the Redmi K50 series could feature four different chipsets. This hints at the possibility of there being four Redmi K50 variants, which could be the standard, Pro, Gaming, and 'Universe' (probably a Lite variant).

Looks like the pop-up shoulder buttons will remain, great news for mobile gamers

We still don't know for sure, but we're convinced that a Gaming variant would be included. The tipster claimed that this model will come with a punch-hole front camera and pop-up shoulder buttons, which first appeared on the Redmi K40 Gaming. This model is also expected to come with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset that was unveiled earlier this month.
