The first leak of POCO F5 surfaced recently, and the device is said to arrive as a rebranded Redmi K60. Now, it's time for news about the Redmi device, as a new report claims it would use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It might have also confirmed that the POCO F5 would indeed pack the chipset.

It's an upgrade for the POCO F5, as the POCO F4 uses the Snapdragon 870 SoC. However, for Redmi K60, it's a different situation, as the Redmi K50 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. Therefore, it's more of switching the brand rather than an upgrade. Not only that, but the Redmi K50 Ultra came with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, so it seems like it's passing it down to the lower variant.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K60 series is already in the design verification testing phase. After the internal design is confirmed to be safe, it will enter the manufacturing phase. The tipster also mentioned some tech specs, including a 2K display, 5,500 mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging and 30W for wireless. Furthermore, the Redmi K60 devices could also feature something similar to Apple's Dynamic Island.
