As the launch date for the Redmi Note 9 series draws closer, we're getting more details on just what we'd get from the two new smartphones expected. Once again, GeekBench is the site responsible and eagle eyes were quick to find a new benchmark result for the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Judging by the benchmark score, the Redmi Note 9 Pro will be providing a mid-range level of performance. In our previous article about the launch date for the phone, we speculated that the Pro model could have a Snapdragon 865 chipset to make it a powerful device. However, it seems that Redmi is sticking with a more modest option here with a Snapdragon 720G chipset and 6GB of RAM. It's also confirmed that the device will be running on Android 10 out of the box.

Additionally, we have some information from before about the Redmi Note 9 Pro's camera setup. A leaked photo (possibly engineering unit) was recently found that showed the phone's square block of quad-camera and the LED flash below it. Also, it is likely to have a punch-hole front camera on the top-left corner of the display, which has an amazing screen-to-body ratio.

There's still not much about the Redmi Note 9 series that we know about, but it's almost guaranteed that you'll see another leak or two before the launch date.
