Redmi Turbo 4 release - Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC, 6550mAh battery and 120Hz OLED from ~RM1227

As we’ve reported previously, Redmi today launched the Redmi Turbo 4 in China, the world’s first Dimensity 8400-powered smartphone. In fact, the Xiaomi subsidiary took it a step further by customising the new SoC, so read on to learn more. 

Redmi called the customised SoC the Dimensity 8400-Ultra, which is paired with 12/16GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. Under the hood, there’s also a massive 6550mAh cell, which supports 90W charging via the USB-C port.

Screen-wise, it’s a 6.77-inch 120Hz OLED with a 1220p resolution, 3200 nits local peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i, an in-display fingerprint scanner and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 20MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP Sony LYT-600 shooter paired with an 8MP ultra-wide. 

Other notable specs include Android 15 via HyperOS 2.0, an IP66/68/69 rating, an infrared port and colour options of either black, white or sea blue. In China, the Turbo 4 starts at CNY1999 or ~RM1227, with the device set to be rebranded as the POCO X7 Pro for the global market.
