Earlier, we have seen a rumour saying that the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ will power 2022 Android flagships. However, as TSMC is reported to start producing the chipset in Q3 2021, some might expect to see devices with the Snapdragon 888's successor by the end of 2021. Today, Redmi's product director Wang Teng has clarified that there will be no smartphones with the 4nm chip coming in H2 2021.

Xiaomi was the first company to launch a device with the Snapdragon 888 (Xiaomi Mi 11) in December 2020 but only started to sell it from Q1 2021. Therefore, could we still able to see smartphones with the Snapdragon 888+ being announced by not allowed to get it yet? For that, we might have to wait a little longer to see how things go as H1 2021 hasn't even finished.

Not only a 4nm chip, but the rumoured Snapdragon 888+ with model number SM8450 will also come with Kyro 780 CPU cores, an Adreno 730 GPU, and the Snapdragon X65 5G modem. Devices like the next-gen Xiaomi Mi MIX, vivo X70 series, and OnePlus 9T are suggested to be coming with the chip.
