Recently, we mentioned the rumours about Samsung mid-range foldable phones. Today, Samsung confirms these rumours are false. That said, what should you know about it?

According to Samsung, the company does not have any plans to produce mid-range foldable phones. Hence, that would put a stop to the rumours of a mid-range Z Flip and Z Fold series being launched for only $400 (~RM1864). This is what the Samsung Electronics spokesperson says about it:

“We don't plan to manufacture foldable smartphones that are priced in the midrange, and the latest rumours are groundless,”

Previously, tipster @Tech_Reve on X hinted that Samsung’s new foldables would be priced between $400 and $500, calling it an “aggressive goal.” Besides that, there are also speculations about Samsung releasing Fan Editions for foldable phones.

Moreover, we could expect it to maintain its exterior design, and select core functions like camera features, downgraded processors and so forth. As of now, we have yet to confirm other tech specs or the Malaysia release date for the phones. At this point, we can only wait for further confirmation from Samsung.
