Apple certainly took the spotlight today with all the news of the new iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch Series 8 and AirPods Pro (2nd Gen). While Malaysian iPhone fans may eagerly wait for the new iPhones, the rest of the iPhone users can in anticipation for the iOS 16 which is about to drop very soon on 13 September 2022.

With the announcement of the iPhone 14 series, the iOS 16 compatibility chart has been refreshed. Obviously, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be released with the latest iOS. But if you using other older iPhone models, you would still be glad to know most of them still support it.

Unfortunately, the older iPhone models from the 8 series and 2nd Gen iPhone SE won't get to have the Dynamic Island function that is supported by iOS 16. The Dynamic Island function is a special feature that only the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have due to the new pill-shaped cutout. We hope that all the iPhone 15 series models will get rid of the notch.

On that note, those who don't have an Apple Watch Series will get a nice treat from the iOS 16 update as well. Apple mentioned that Fitness+ will appear in the aforementioned iPhone models above and the Apple Watch is not needed to launch the app.
