Renders of Apple M1-powered iMac Pro leaked online

Back in March, it was suggested that Apple is planning to discontinue the iMac Pro. However, that may not be the case after all. The company launched new iMacs last month powered by the Apple M1 and could be aiming to give the iMac Pro the same treatment.

Thanks to LeaksApplePro, we now get a first look at the iMac Pro 2021. As mentioned, this year's model should be powered by the Apple M1 chip. It's also expected to have four USB-C ports (Thunderbolt-compatible) and a 10-Gigabit Ethernet port. There might also be an SD card reader on the right side, but that hasn't been decided yet.

In terms of design, the new model is quite different from the previous one. As you can see, it's noticeably thicker and blockier than its predecessor. However, the chin at the bottom is shorter and the overall build feels looks more sturdy. Overall, it looks similar to the newly launched iMac 2021.

Mind you, Apple has not confirmed if there would be a new iMac Pro. There's that rumour claiming that it would be discontinued too, so take the news with a grain of salt. Having said that, what do you think of the new look? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates.
