Finally we have some new leaks about the latest Xiaomi Redmi device, the Redmi Note 5.

It’s a stretch, but it is speculated that the upcoming Redmi Note 5 will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display and a power-efficient processor. The processor was narrowed down to either the Snapdragon 630 or the Snapdragon 660 which are both known efficient chipsets with a 14nm process.

As for the battery capacity, the Redmi Note 5 will have a 3790mAh battery capacity. A small downgrade from the Redmi Note 4 with 4100mAh but I’m sure they have their reasons. It does come with QuickCharge 3.0 though.

The Redmi Note 5 will sport a 16MP main camera with the Sony IMX 234 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and a 0.3s focus lock (PDAF). A 13MP front camera complements the phone’s selfie necessities.

Last but not least, the Note 5 will be available with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The rest of the RAM versions and the speculated rough pricing can be found below.

  • 3GB RAM/32GB Storage – 1200CNY – RM760
  • 4GB RAM/32GB Storage – 1400CNY – RM880
  • 4GB RAM/64GB Storage – 1500CNY – RM950

There you have it, a fairly decent phone with an acceptable price range, as usual for Xiaomi. Keep in mind though that these are still early rumours and shouldn't be taken so close to heart.

No release dates nor Malaysian updates can be found just yet. Make sure you stay tuned to TechNave.com for any latest updates.
