Samsung and LG are two of the world's largest OLED display makers right now, as technology progress exponentially over the years, companies are trying to find new ways and applications for their production. An insider tip from South Korea has said that Samsung is apparently planning their AMOLED screen to be present on laptop panels, while LG is increasing the mass production of small-size OLED displays for handsets.

Samsung's AMOLED display is already part of HP's Spectre x360 laptop since last year, and LG still has not really employed the technology on their own product, however, it's also said they will supply both Xiaomi and Huawei with the screen panel more for their new handsets in the future, does that mean we will be seeing more smartphone adopting the screen in the future? The Nexus 6P by Huawei, is currently using a Quad HD AMOLED screen panel, it'd be interesting to see what Xiaomi can do with the display, perhaps coming up with an "edge" display like Samsung, Apple is also rumoured to adopt AMOLED for their flagship next year as well, with a new interaction paradigm.

The future of having OLED screens on every major smartphone player seems plausible now, but what do you think? Is it a necessity for you? Do you really like that addition to your smartphone? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more news at Technave.com.
