We now know that Samsung’s Unpacked event will be happening on March 28, where they’ll be announcing the successors to the Galaxy S7 series, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, which are expected to have, respectively a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch display.

The Investor reported that, industry sources had alleged that pre-orders will begin on April 10, which is the halfway point between the rumoured release date of April 21 and the unpacked event.

While no official specifications had been made known yet, leaks have indicated that both devices will be alleged powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Both will also feature 12MP dual-pixel rear camera and 8MP front-facing camera as well as being IP68-rated.

While we would expect that both devices will be available for pre-order on the same day, it’s still yet to be made known the ratio of Galaxy S8 to S8 Plus that Samsung plans to have available for launch. With both having almost similar specs apart from the larger battery and display size, we would say that the Galaxy S8 Plus might be the crowd favourite in Malaysia. Which is your pick between the two? Would it be the smaller Galaxy S8, or the Galaxy S8 Plus? Let us know in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
