The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have been officially launched here in Malaysia for RM3299 and RM3699 respectively. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus pack in a lot of features which you can see below but the most obvious change from their Galaxy S7 edge predecessor is the wider or taller 18.5:9 aspect ratio Infinity Design front display. This means that while both phones have bigger if not equal sized Infinity displays (5.8-inch and 6.2-inch) they are still more compact in actual phone size than the Galaxy S7 edge. They will be coming in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold but for now, only the black, grey and gold are currently available.
Other stand-out features for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are a front iris scanner, face scanner, Samsung Bixby Assistant (to be activated soon) and finally a USB Type-C port (the Galaxy S7 edge was still on microUSB). For the tech heads, the new phones are using the latest 10nm fabricated processors while the usual front fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back next to the rear camera and heart rate monitor.
