Meixu is right now focusing on the Meizu Pro 6 as their darling right now, but the next MX series from Meizu, the Meizu MX6, will be coming in the second half of the year, according to sources on the internet. With a ten-core processor reportedly beating at its heart, it is a model to look out for from June onwards.

The current MX5 was announced in 2015, around the mid-way point of the year, so the report of the MX6 coming around that time is around the expected timeline. It should be sporting a good set of features.

It is said to be powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 SoC with 10-core CPU and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, and sports a full HD display. Other rumoured specs include, 3GB/32GB memory configuration, 21 megapixel rear/8 megapixel front camera combo, 4,000mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The Meizu MX5 is priced around RM 1500 here in Malaysia, so we can expect the Meizu MX6 to carry a similar price tag when it launches soon.
