The Google event is happening in less than a day, and we have a pretty good idea what Google will be announcing at the said event. A telco in Canada however has spilled the beans a day too early, so we have all the details of the new Google Pixel & Pixel XL.
For those who want specs, the Pixel will be running the latest Snapdragon 821 processor, clocked at 2.15GHz. There's also 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 128GB of storage. Display is provided by an AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 4, 5-inch 1080p for the Pixel, 5.5-inch 1440p for the Pixel XL. Powering everything is a 2700 mAh unit for the smaller Pixel, and a 3450 mAh for the Pixel XL. Also, it gets Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Thanks to a premature launch site, well, launch, we have the pretty pictures of the two phones – and they look pretty. There will be two colours on offer – black and white, and the design is reminiscent of HTC’s older HTC One designs.
We have to wait for tomorrow for all the full details, but the phone is expected to be priced around USD 649 (~RM 2699) at launch. We have rumours that the phone will not be coming to Malaysia – so if you are looking to own one, you have to find an alternative way to purchase a unit. Stay tuned to TechNave as we bring more news on the Pixel.
