We know that Moto is working on the upcoming launch of the Moto Z2 series of smartphones but so far not much has been known about the Moto Z2 Play until now.

Being set to replace the previous Moto Z Play, the upcoming device does not actually differ too much from its predecessor as a mid-range device, but instead offer improvements in almost every aspect. The speculated specs are listed as such:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB internal memory
  • 5.5-inch 1080p display
  • 12MP main camera with dual pixel auto focus
  • Fingerprint scanner, MotoMods compatibility
  • Android 7.1
  • 3000 mAh

The battery capacity was further confirmed by a tweet from Lenovo but was a bit of a letdown because it was a downgrade from Moto Z Play’s 3510 mAh. Other than that though, it does look promising and it’ll be exciting to see its release soon.

No Malaysian release has been mentioned yet but the whole Moto Z2 line of phones are set to be officially unveiled in early June. As all rumours, please remember to take it with a grain of salt and stay tuned to TechNave.com for the latest tech news and updates.
