Rumours: New Canon EOS M5 images appears online

With Photokina 2016 coming next week – leaks of upcoming products and features are starting to appear online as companies are ramping up to the launch dates. One of them is Canon, and we are expected to see the new Canon EOS-M5 pretty soon, if the images suggests.

As a recap, the Canon EOS M5 sits in their mirrorless camera family, and are expected to have the following as part of its spec sheet:

  • Dual Pixel CMOS AF
  • The video engine: DIGIC 7
  • ISO Sensitivity: 100-25600

  • Continuous shooting: up to about 9 frames / sec., About 7 frames / sec 
  • Video: Full HD 60p, 5-axis electronic image stabilization

  • Monitor: 3.2 inches 1.62 million dot touch panel movable LCD
  • Wireless: Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b / g / n), Bluetooth (4.1)

The camera looks to be like the Canon EOS 80D, but in a mirrorless form factor. It will be something important from Canon as their previous offerings has been targeted to general consumer – and the M5 looks to be something designed for the serious enthusiast market instead.
