Rumours: New HTC 10 render image leaked and accidentally revealing release date?

For the past few days, HTC showed us a teaser poster and a short video clip telling us that they have been working really hard on making the next best smartphone. There is very little we know of the device, but thanks to a famed phone leaker, Evan Blass, from evleaks, we got a render image of how the HTC One M10, or rather the HTC 10 could look like.

Although it's just a render from a computer, according to Evan, he claimed the new flagship will be simply called the HTC 10 instead, dropping the 'One' and 'M'. And the reason why they did it because "they wanted to move away from its top-shelf devices' naming scheme" for good. How true is that? We honestly don't know, but it's still an interesting move if it was.

What's more, he even pin pointed the release date was already revealed in the render image (the device's home screen). And of all the places, the render image itself had the release date which is 19 April and he really thinks it's no coincidence.

Putting aside that wild theory, rumours has it that the HTC 10 (or M10?) could sport a Snapdragon 820 SoC inside the hood, 4GB RAM, carrying 32GB of internal memory, 5.15-inch screen display, a 12MP Ultrapixel camera for the rear, and with the latest OS pre-installed. If the release date is true, then we only have more than a month to go. We can also expect more teasers to come so stay tuned for more news at Technave.
