Rumours: No 8GB RAM for the Samsung Galaxy S8

Back in October, we reported that Samsung has made an 8GB RAM module and have plans to utilize it in their smartphones sometime in the future. Naturally, we would think the Galaxy S8 will be the first to use it, but that won't be the case anymore.

According to a leak report, Samsung decided that 6GB of RAM is already enough for high-end devices. Besides, their current flagships are only at 4GB RAM, and the only 6GB RAM smartphone they have currently is the C9 Pro that's only available in China.

That also indicates that instead of upgrading to 8GB RAM, it could probably mean that we can expect to see a 6GB RAM on board on the Galaxy S8, along with extra storage (256GB?) and an increased display panel to 6-inches, more or less. In addition, the company are also thinking of removing the physical home button with an embedded fingerprint scanner.

While it makes sense for them to use 6GB RAM, we should still take this with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more news at Technave.com.
