The year 2017 is still a long way to go, but what's so intriguing about the next year is that it marks the tenth anniversary of the first Apple iPhone. So according to a well-connected Apple blogger, John Gruber, Apple might be planning something big. An iPhone 8? iPhone X? There are many possibilities.

With the endless waves of iPhone rumours, Gruber notes that the 2017 iPhone may feature an edgeless display and a homeless button with an integrated Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the display panel. Despite those awesome “features”, BGR reports that they have been starting to see and hear people planning to skip the 7, simply because there are already several rumours regarding 2017 iPhone instead of the iPhone 7 this year.

And thanks to those speculations, it seem to have affected the customers' decision to wait for next year as they know the iPhone 7 won't have a big redesign. These are the people who aren't even considered to be tech enthusiasts, is this spelling a bad season for Apple this year?

“While it is reasonable to assume Apple may introduce an iconic iPhone in 2017, we believe it is not a foregone conclusion that the consumers will skip the iPhone 7 upgrade in 2016,” said Wells Fargo’s Maynard Um, an industry watcher.

Well whatever the case may be, it's best to take the rumoured news with a grain of salt and just wait and see what Apple has to offer. After all, it's only May and time will change the people's decision making. Stay tuned for more news at Technave.com
