Rumours: Samsung Galaxy X1 and Galaxy X1 Plus names leaked

Samsung is said to be on the verge to change the mobile scene this year, with a foldable smartphone under the brand line Galaxy X. Now we may have some tiny confirmation on the naming scheme for the phones as the names Samsung Galaxy X1 and Samsung Galaxy X1 Plus has been shared online.

A post on the Chinese social media site Weibo shared a few details around the name of the phone, plus the model numbers as well as the OS version that is running on the phones. We may see the name Samsung Galaxy X1, model number SM-X9000 and the Samsung Galaxy X1 Plus, model number SM-X9050 be used as part of the naming scheme of the new phones. Internally the phone is said to carry the codename Project Valley, and rumoured to come with a 4K screen, as well as multiple biometric security features such as fingers, face and even palm.

A timeframe of sometime between Q3 and Q4 this year has been projected as the release date for the new foldable phones from Samsung, so we just have to wait and see until then for the release of these phones. In the meantime stay tuned to Technave for more Samsung news.
