Rumours: This is the Canon EOS M5 mirrorless camera?

A new report just leaked online, showing what seems to be Canon’s next attempt in the mirrorless camera space. The EOS M line has seen limited success in the mirrorless world, but with the new camera, they seem to be gearing up to make a mark in the field.

From the looks, the EOS M5 is set to have a classical DSLR look, with a hump (that hides an electronic view finder), dials galore and even a flip-screen – at this moment it is unknown if it will have an articulating or just a simple tilt. It also rumoured to feature a 24.2-megapixel sensor – the same one in the Canon EOS 80D, and even a new autofocus system. The lenses that can be fitted on this camera are mainly the EF-M mount, but with adaptors, normal Canon EF lenses can be mounted presumably, if previous models set the precedence.

We are set to see the launch of this camera during Photokina 2016, which is about a week from now, so stay tuned to TechNave as we bring more news on this new mirrorless camera to the site.
