We have already covered how Xiaomi is teasing us about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro and a possible appearance of Xiaomi Mi 5 at a press conference (24 November). Now we have reports of another teaser released by Xiaomi’s president that suggest something else will show up at the event too - the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet.

In the tech specs corner, according to the GeekBench database the tablet will feature a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor with 2.24GHz, 2GB RAM power, and Android 5.1. There’s also a rumour that Mi Pad 2 has a dual-boot system, running on either Android 5.1 or Windows 10. And from the teaser image above, the Mi Pad 2 sure looks pretty. The body material looks like it is made of metal with smooth rounded corners and edges, a big step away from the Xiaomi Mi Pad’s plastic body. The camera is also shown at the corner, along with the power and volume buttons at the side.

Xiaomi also plans to release two Mi Pad 2 versions with different specifications (most probably based on the internal storage), one for CNY 1499 (RM 1012.57) and the other for CNY 1799 (RM 1215.22). Still no Malaysia release dates but it would be nice if it got to us in less than half a year this time around.
