Xiaomi was one of the two China smartphone brands that was said to be designing flagship smartphones with curved screens. New reports out from the field has strengthen this rumour, and even has some tentative spec-list to boot.

Confirmed directly by the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, the company is in the process of creating a curved-screen smartphone for the global market, and better yet, it should be coming sometime next year. The curved screen will be an LG-produced OLED rather than the Super AMOLED screen from Samsung.

Possible specs for the phone includes a 5.7 inch screen with an undetermined resolution – perhaps 2K? – plus a full metal body, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 powering the system, paired with 6GB of RAM and dual 12 megapixel rear cameras (ala Huawei P9).

As of right now, these specs are all speculated specs for the upcoming smartphone, but we are certain since that it is a Xiaomi device, it will be priced very competitively and undercut many of the other flagships from companies like Samsung and even Vivo.
