After being in the rumour mills for a while, Samsung has announced its latest mid-ranger, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G in Europe. Featuring some compelling specs, including a super long software update support, read on to learn more.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Exynos 1330 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. There’s also a 5000mAh battery which supports 25W charging via the USB-C port.
Screen-wise, it’s a 6.7-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED with an FHD+ resolution and a water-drop notch housing the 13MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP shooter paired with a 5MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro.
Other notable specs include Android 14 via One UI 6.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card slot with up to 1.5TB support, an IP54 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a whopping 6 years of Android version updates and security patches support. In France, the Galaxy A16 5G is listed at EUR249 or ~RM1171, with the device expected to be released globally soon, with the Thailand and SEA variants touted to feature Dimensity 6300 instead.
