As we’ve alluded to previously, Samsung Malaysia today launched its latest mid-range offering for our local market, the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G and the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G. Packing some competitive specs and features for their respective price ranges, read on to find out more about the devices.
First up, let’s talk about the higher-end Galaxy A54 5G. The successor to the popular Galaxy A53 5G, the smartphone sports a 6.4-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution.
The panel also features a punch-hole cutout at its top-middle which houses the 32MP selfie camera. At its rear, the Galaxy A54 5G has a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro triple-camera setup.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the battery is a 5000mAh cell with support for 25W fast charging via the USB-C port.
Other notable specs include Android 13 OS via One UI 5.1, a microSD card slot which supports up to 1TB, an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, an IP67 rating, dual SIM, 5G connectivity and colour options of either Awesome Lime, Awesome Violet, Awesome Graphite or Awesome White.
Next up, the Galaxy A34 5G sports a 6.6-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of Full HD+. Like the Galaxy A54 5G, there’s also a punch-hole cutout at the top middle which houses a 13MP selfie camera.
At its rear, the smartphone is equipped with a 48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro triple-camera setup. Under the hood, the Galaxy A34 5G features the MediaTek Dimenisty 1080 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The battery is also 5000mAh and supports 25W fast charging via the USB-C port. Other notable specs include a microSD card slot supporting up to 1TB, dual SIM, an under-display optical finger sensor, Android 13 via One UI 5.1, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, 5G connectivity and colour options of either Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, Awesome Violet or Awesome Silver.
Samsung Malaysia announced that pre-orders for both devices start now, with the Galaxy A54 5G priced at RM1899 (8/256GB) and the Galaxy A34 5G priced at RM1599 (8/256GB). Both smartphones will come with 5 years of security updates, four OS generational updates and a 2-year warranty for free, as well as a free Samsung Galaxy Buds Live.
