Samsung recently announced their latest additions of smartphones and among them was the Samsung Galaxy A8s. Leaks of the device’s front panel have surfaced, showing that the Samsung Galaxy A8s may be the first notched phone from the Korean giant.
During SDC 2018, Samsung unveiled their latest Infinity displays which includes the Infinity-V, Infinity-U and Infinity-O. By the looks of the notch on photos of said leak, the Samsung Galaxy A8s might be sporting the Infinity-U notch. Interestingly, the notch on the device looks smaller than most smartphones out in the market right now which gives the device a bigger screen to body ratio.
Besides that, the smartphone is rumoured to be equipped with the Snapdragon 660 chipset but there are other speculations mentioning that the phone may have different variants with the Snapdragon 670 or Snapdragon 675 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. In addition, the phone may be sporting a rear triple camera setup.
In other news, Samsung plans on re-introducing the flat displays to their flagship models. The last time the flat display was seen, it was on the Samsung Galaxy S7. The flat display will be an option for the 5.8 inch base model of the Samsung Galaxy S10. There will also be other variants of the device which are the curved 5.8 inch base model and the highest specification model of the phone will come with a 6.2 inch curved display.
The next generation of OLED screens from the company is dubbed M9 and it is reported that Samsung has been working with new chemical companies to create the red, green and blue subparticles for the screen. However, do read this article with skepticism as the information are just rumours for now. So what do you think of the changes coming to Samsung’s upcoming phones?
