Many Samsung fans have been waiting for awhile now for the re-release of the Samsung Galaxy Fold - especially those who have pre-ordered. It has been reported that the smartphone has passed its final phase of testing with flying colours and may be re-released soon.

The testing was done by members of the industry and professors at the Seoul National University alongside its own KAIST research institute. Issues from the original batch of Samsung Galaxy Folds could not be replicated again with the current model. A source from one of the testers had mentioned that the foldable smartphone had aced the tests and is ready for launch.

Sources claim that the Korean manufacturer had extended the top layer and wrapped it around the corners. The screen now looks like it is now part of the device instead of a screen protector. Meanwhile, the gap between the hinge as well as the crease has been fixed and the phone has been given some added durability.

Right now it is a race between Huawei and Samsung to release their foldable smartphones. The Huawei Mate X is set to be released this summer. No word has been mentioned about the smartphone’s re-release date or if it would be coinciding with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10’s launch on the 7th of August but we’ll let you know on TechNave.com!
