Previously, we reported on the release of the Samsung Galaxy M14 5G in Ukraine featuring some bang-for-your-buck specs for the price point. Now, the device may end up being released in Malaysia soon too, as it was recently spotted getting SIRIM certification.
As reported by Amanz which first spotted the listing, the Galaxy M14 5G received approval on Friday (7 April 2023). Furthermore, the listing showed that the applicant was Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn Bhd.
Given that it has received SIRIM’s approval, the launch of the device in our country is imminent. As a recap, the Galaxy M14 5G sports a 6.6-inch 90Hz PLS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. The display also has an Infinity-V notch to house a 13MP selfie camera.
At its rear, the device has a 50Mp main + 2MP macro + 2MP depth triple-camera setup. Under the hood, the Galaxy M14 5G is powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage. It also supports expandable storage of up to 1TB via the microSD card slot.
There’s also a massive 6000mAh battery under the hood with support for 25W fast charging via the USB-C port. Other notable specs include Android 13 OS via One UI Core 5, a 3.5mm audio jack, 5G connectivity, dual SIM, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and colour options of Dark Blue, Blue or Silver.
Of course, we still don’t know whether the device would follow the exact same specs list as the above or when it’s launching in Malaysia. Well, make sure to stay tuned to TechNave for the latest development on this and for more trending tech news!
