Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 could arrive earlier with new features

Some of you who are Samsung fans may have been disappointed when it was confirmed the Galaxy Ring wouldn't launch here. The only way to get one is to buy it from overseas. But you might want to hold off on doing that, as the Galaxy Ring 2 could arrive earlier than expected.

According to a tipster (in Korean), the Galaxy Ring 2 could launch "a bit earlier than originally scheduled". Since the Galaxy Ring was released during the July 2024 Galaxy Unpacked, the Galaxy Ring 2 could launch sometime in 1H 2025. The next big Galaxy Unpacked is in January 2025, when Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 series. Sounds too early for the Galaxy Ring 2, but we wouldn't rule out the possibility.

Besides an earlier launch, the Galaxy Ring 2 is expected to sport several improvements. These include a thinner body, longer battery life, and new features. As a reminder, the Galaxy Ring has a 7-day battery life on a full charge, which is impressive enough. It also tracks sleep, heart rate, and running stats.

Would the new model launch in Malaysia? It's hard to say for sure, but we're leaning towards 'no' because there's not much of a market for it here. For USD399 (~RM1761), you could get a Galaxy Watch 7 and still have some balance, so the value is questionable for Malaysians. What do you think?
