Samsung Galaxy S22 series will continue to have punch-hole front camera

Next year, Samsung is expected to launch its Galaxy S22 series in January. But even if you are hoping to see some new features, some things will remain unchanged. That seems to be the case for the rear camera, and possibly for the front camera too.

According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S22 series smartphones will use a punch-hole front camera. This lines up with a previous report, which claimed that the camera specs will be largely the same. It means that Samsung might not equip its upcoming flagship series with its new 200MP camera or an under-display front camera. In fact, the leaker also claimed that the camera design for the new models will remain the same.

Interestingly, another source claimed that the 10MP telephoto camera would see an upgrade from 1.1x to 3x optical zoom. Samsung's focus next year might be more on incremental improvements and tweaks, rather than upgrading the hardware of its flagship series. By optimising the design and software of the Galaxy S22 series well, the company can entice buyers who didn't upgrade to the Galaxy S21 series this year.

Of course, we're mostly speculating here, so take this news with a grain of salt. Having said that, would you upgrade to the Galaxy S22 series based on what's known so far? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
