Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 release: Exynos 9810 chipset, WiFi 6 and 5,050mAh battery

Earlier, it was reported that the support page of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 has surfaced on the company's official site. It is a piece of exciting news as Samsung is finally bringing their rugged tablet series back. After two years, the Galaxy Tab Active2's successor has finally come true. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 has been announced today as a rugged tablet with updated tech specs.

Starting with its build, the Galaxy Tab Active3 is MIL-STD-810H military standard certified. It means that it can withstand some of the toughest world jobs in extreme environments. Other than that, the tablet also has shock absorption tech to overcome drops of up to 1.5 meters. It is IP68 rated as well for dustproof and water-resistant. If your job requires you to wear gloves, the touch screen has no problem with that.

The Galaxy Tab Active3 features an Exynos 9810 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Its display is measured 8-inch with a resolution of 1920 x 1200. There is also a 5,050mAh battery to power up the tablet with support for charging via USB and POGO pins. For taking photos, the device comes with a 13MP sensor at the rear and a 5MP on the front.

Coming to the features, the Galaxy Tab Active3 allows users to use it without a battery while it is in the "No Battery Mode". The mode is for users who use the tablet as a kiosk. Samsung's latest feature like Samsung DeX is also available to provide dual-screen functionality. Other things will include WiFi 6 with MIMO, NFC, Google ARCore, Samsung Knox, face and fingerprint recognition, microSD slot for up to 1TB for up to 1TB, Android 10, and more. Not to mention that the S-Pen is also IP68 certified.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 is now available in selected markets starting from today. It is mentioned that European and some Asian regions will soon get it too.
