The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series has been a long time coming. Rumours for Samsung's next flagship tablet series first popped up in January 2021, but it's now Q4 2021 and there's no sign of it. However, sources claim that Samsung could launch it within Q1 2022.
According to @Frontron (via Notebookcheck), Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Tab S8 series at the next Samsung Unpacked in January 2022. Moreover, there will be a Galaxy S8 Ultra model that's available only in limited quantities. It's said that this is due to low production yields for the display, which will allegedly use a massive 14.6-inch OLED panel (2960x1848 resolution). It will also feature a small notch, according to some renders.

Besides that, this Ultra model is expected to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, as well as a large 12000mAh battery to keep it going for hours. Based on leaked renders, it's also going to have two rear cameras and two front cameras, which is pretty unusual. There doesn't seem to be a dedicated slot for an S Pen, so Samsung might go for a magnetic approach instead.
Mind you, a lot of the above is unconfirmed, so please take this news piece with a grain of salt. Having said that, what do you think an Ultra variant needs to get people interested? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
