Just a few days ago, it was believed that the Galaxy Z Flip 2 would be launching in spring 2021. But the latest piece of rumour indicates that the launch window may have been moved. A reliable source reveals that Samsung could instead launch the device later next year.
According to Ross Young, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 could be launched next summer. That would mean that it could be launched around June to September 2021. In that case, an August launch seems possible since that was when Samsung held an Unpacked event. During the August 2020 Samsung Unpacked, the company not only launched the Galaxy Note 20 series but also the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Sorry Z Flip fans, hearing the Z Flip 2 launch is being moved back to the summer...

In terms of tech specs, we expect the Galaxy Z Flip 2 to feature a Snapdragon 875+ or Exynos 2100 chipset. Young also said that the cover display, which is the one on the outside, will be bigger than the one on the Galaxy Z Flip but smaller than the Moto Razr's. For reference, the secondary display for the two are 1.1-inch and 2.7-inch respectively.
Do note that plans can still change and there's no confirmation that Young is right this time. On the topic of the Galaxy Z Flip 2, what sort of improvements do you hope to see from it? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates on this.
