Samsung Galaxy Z Flip may come with only a 12MP rear camera

There hasn't been all that many details on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip but the latest one is definitely worth noting. According to GSMArena, a recent Twitter post claims that the rear camera for Samsung's next foldable device may only be a 12MP setup.

A few weeks ago, it was speculated that the Galaxy Z Flip would feature the same 108MP camera combo that will be found on the Galaxy S20 series. The tweet from Ishan Agarwal not only claimed that it's only a 12MP setup, he also mentioned that the device will have a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, 256GB of internal storage, 10MP front camera, and either 3300mAh or 3500mAh battery.

While the difference in the previous speculated camera setup (108MP) versus the current one (12MP) is certainly drastic, it could be a decision motivated by price. By giving the device a main camera that's not as fancy, Samsung can reduce the cost of the device. However, that's just our own speculation.

It's possible that we'll see more leaks or a possible update from Samsung in the coming days. But it's also possible that Samsung will keep it quiet till Samsung Unpacked 2020. Having said that, would the less impressive camera setup of the Galaxy Z Flip be a deal-breaker for you? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for updates.
