Last week, Qualcomm officially announced a new Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset but it seems that a successor could already be in the works. There isn't much information but sources report that there is a blueprint on the manufacturing process already for the Snapdragon 895 and 895+ chipset.

According to a popular and reputable leaker @UniverseIce from Twitter, Qualcomm may have contacted both Samsung and TSMC to manufacture these unannounced chipsets in the future. He also claimed that these two chipsets are 4nm, which are a technological breakthrough for sure and should appear next year annually.

From the Twitter post above, Samsung should be in charge of manufacturing the Snapdragon 895 whereas TSMC is tasked with the latter. Sources also reported that the upcoming chipset could feature a Kryo 760 CPU alongside an Adreno 730 GPU, Spectra 680 ISP as well as a Snapdragon X65 5G modem.

As Qualcomm moves into 4nm, we might see newer Snapdragon 800 and 700 series chipsets in 5nm and that's great for mid-range tier smartphones. This may also mean future mid-range devices are becoming better and good for the masses with near-flagship experiences. Stay tuned for trending tech news at TechNave.com.
