Asides from announcing their Exynos 7904, Samsung also announced their smallest 5.1mm ISOCELL Slim 3T2 Image Sensor Processor offering 20MP resolutions for more front punch display or hole-in-display smartphones. The ISP utilizes Samsung's Tetracell technology which merges four pixels as one, allowing for brighter and sharper pictures in low-light.

While we think this makes it perfect for slimmer and sleeker front punch display smartphones, when applied for rear cameras, it utilizes an RGB color filter array with 60% higher effective resolution at 10x digital zoom. No actual smartphone has been named to use it yet (although we think the new rumoured Galaxy A8s FE could utilize it) but the new camera sensor is expected to hit mass production in Q1 of 2019.
