Other than Apple, it looks like an Android smartphone manufacturer will also be following the footsteps by excluding the in-box chargers in the future. It turns out that Samsung has also reportedly decided to ship their future smartphones without chargers, and they might be planning to execute it as early as next year.
According to the source, it is said that the decision will assist the Korean tech giant to keep the costs down when it comes to smartphone production. However, it is also deemed that taking the charger away is not going to make a big difference to the price of a smartphone, as it's the hardware prices that are high.
Earlier, the company has received backlash for selling the 45W fast charger for the Galaxy S20 Ultra at 50 USD (~RM213) as the box only comes with a 25W charger. Therefore, it is no doubt that excluding the in-box charger will be just another plan for the brand to make some extra profit. However, take this news with a pinch of salt as Samsung hasn't officially confirmed anything yet.
