Samsung presents the Galaxy A8s with an in-display front camera concept

It wasn't that long ago that Samsung revealed some plans of working on an in-display front camera, and we thought that the demo unit will be ready probably next year but surprise surprise, it already made a visual appearance at an event in China and it's dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy A8s.

Note that we wrote the Galaxy A8s made a visual appearance so the unit wasn't really there in the flesh, but we got a really good look of what to expect and to be honest, it looks really weird because of the hole on top. Moreover, Samsung didn't really go into details of the specifications and features of the said device but it's very likely that the company will be the first to do this with a “first-time adoption” technology.

From the teaser image, Samsung has been experimenting the front camera's position so it can either end up in the middle, top left or top right. The bottom chin looks narrower than ever but still slightly thicker than the rest of the side bezels. Rumours have it the Galaxy A8s will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset, 3000mAh battery and its screen panel's aspect ratio is 19.5:9.
