Last month, we've heard the rumour that Samsung is working on 150MP camera sensors to be used in their upcoming flagships. Now, it is said that the camera sensor's R&D process has been completed and will soon enter mass production. Without taking a break, the Korean tech giant is now being found developing new 250MP camera sensors.

The 250MP camera sensor is an ISOCELL image sensor that could make the camera bump go bigger up to one-inch. Compared to the current image sensors, the 64MP and 108MP are 1/1.72 and 1/1.33 inches respectively. Industry experts have also stated their opinions saying the war of megapixel will lead to bigger smartphone image sensors in the future.

By calming down the competition, Samsung has stopped using camera sensors with large megapixel for a while until the release of the Galaxy S20 series. Now, we guess that the camera's megapixel war is now back again for the smartphone industry and Samsung is planning to take the crown. It is also worth mentioning that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is expected to come with 100MP+ sensor, so will it be the 150MP camera sensor?
