If you recall, it was rumoured that Apple planned to launch its AR headset in Q4 2022. That means there's still a full year or so before that headset is officially out. But Apple is already planning for the future, and will allegedly launch a successor in 2024.

According to MacRumors, the analyst Kuo Ming-Chi claimed that the Apple AR headset will arrive in 2H 2024. The so-called second-generation AR/MR (augmented reality and mixed reality) headset is expected to have several areas of improvement. This includes the chipset, form factor, and battery system.

In addition, the new model will allegedly be much lighter. Kuo claimed that it will weigh around 300 to 400 grams, and would be able to "seamlessly switch between AR and VR to provide an innovative experience". Aside from that, there's no detail on what the headset could achieve.

Of course, analyst predictions are just that - predictions. They might not be accurate, so take the news with a grain of salt. Having said that, would you be interested in getting the Apple AR headset next year? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
