If you frequently refuel at Shell stations, you’d know of the TNG RFID fuelling system introduced by Shell back in 2022. Well, if you use the system to refuel, do take note that the service has been down since last month for system improvement.
Taking to its official website, Shell Malaysia asserted that it’s currently upgrading the TNG RFID fuelling system which has resulted in its temporary unavailability. The company added that the system is unavailable across all stations effective 2 February, with its return yet to be announced.
Shell does advises customers to pay for fuel via cash, debit card, credit card or e-wallets. For convenience, Shell recommends using the Shell App which was introduced last year.
Shell Malaysia further said that upon the resumption of the TNG RFID fuelling system, all registered users will be notified accordingly via SMS and email by TNG. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for the latest trending tech news such as this.
