So long and farewell, Microsoft pulls the plug on Windows 10 Mobile

Windows just can't catch a break on the mobile scene. According to GSMArenaMicrosoft has confirmed that it will be terminating support for Windows 10 Mobile products. In other words, this sees the end of security updates, hotfixes, and tech support for the mobile OS.

Fortunately for users of the Microsoft Office, you'll get a little bit of leeway before getting cut off. The Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote apps will still be getting updates and patches, at least till 12th January 2021. The Windows 10 Mobile app store will still be around for while too, likely to provide updates for Microsoft Office apps. For everyone else, it's probably a good idea to start migrating to either an Android or iOS device. For example, a fancy new Motorola Razr?

It's quite rare to see Windows 10 Mobile users in Malaysia these days so this is unlikely to affect that many people. But what do you think, do you know of someone still using Windows 10 Mobile? Do let us know in the comments on our Facebook page. For more news like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
